Linda's make-up tip of the
month
For the very young
competitor, Linda suggests a light foundation, followed by one eyeshadow, blush
and a natural lipgloss. As a skater progresses in age, they can handle more
intensity. Blending is the key to wearing a bit more make-up than you would "in
real life".
Because the boards and ice in most arenas are white, they tend
to wash out a skater's face. However skillfully applied make-up cannot only
neutralize this affect, it can also enhance every skater's appearance, and give
the face a natural healthy glow!

Test Day
Your coach has told you that you are ready to take a test! How
exciting! There are a few things that we can help you with at Dress Wright On
Ice. First things first. Test Day is one of those times when you really want to
look your best. A checklist can be helpful…
Gloves - a clean pair for
warm up
Warm up Sweater - clean, neat and tidy for
warm-up
Laces - an extra pair in case one breaks
Clean skates
- cleaned and polished or you can use skate tape (white, beige, or black)
to take care of any scuffmarks in a snap!
For girls - that special
dress, of course!
- and a spare pair of tights in
your bag (just in case you get a last minute snag)
- a couple of safety pins and some
extra hair accessories always come in handy.
- Please don't forget to "

For boys - looking tidy
and presentable is also very important to you.
