It’s a Tight Situation!

Tights are not pants, although many people try to put them on the same way!  To make it easier, follow the guide below.

Step One:                                        Roll the stockings down to the ankle with both hands and carefully slip your foot inside :  Repeat with the other foot.

Step Two:                                Gently pull the stockings up to your knees alternating from left to right.

Step Three:                                Stand-up.

Step Four:                            Pull the tight over your hips and then up to your waist.

Washing your tights regularly will help them last longer but hang them to dry instead of putting them in the dryer – the Lycra lasts longer and they don’t shrink!

New developments in tights!

Capezio have introduced a new Microfiber over the boot tight (Style #31822) that Sarah Hughes debuted at the Olympics!  They have the sheerness of the Microfiber over the leg area but the boot area is double thickness so they don’t get holes in them as quickly!

And watch for Mondor Compression tights (Style #3335).  “This new technique creates a pump like effect and improves blood circulation with a gradual reduction in pressure from the ankles to the thighs.  The constant massage relaxes and revitalizes the legs”.

It’s a great time to give these new improved tights a try or stock up on all the standards since they are 10% off for the month of September.

Practice Clothing

The hottest skating item is the velvet box skirt (style #6S15).  They come in a variety of colours including black, navy, slate blue (a Fabulous versatile colour), royal blue, burgundy, red and violet.  You can wear your own T-shirts and sweaters for several different looks or you can team the skirt with one of the great sleeveless velvet tops to give it the look of a dress.

Another great practice basic are the Explosion pants.  These unisex pants are made of great 2 way stretch double knit, have a drawstring waist and are very comfortable and easy care. The solid black pants (Style 6P11) are 15% off for the month of September.
